Martin Baro, the person that I admire.

Martín Baro is a person on my field that I admire, because he was the first social psychologist, he worked for equal opportunities of the people and justice.

Baro was born in 1942 in Spain and he died in 1989 in "El Salvador", he was murdered. He was psychologist and priest Jesuita. He was a very responsible student. He traveled to America Central in 1959 and he was a teacher in the Universidad Centroamericana Jose Simon Cañas. He was "the father" of Social Psychology of the liberation and he dedicated his life at class struggle and politics.

He wrote eleven books, many articles and magazines. His book "Psicología de la Liberación" is only an example of his thought.

I like Martín Baro because he was a men that worked, fought and died for his thought. And I like him because I share his ideology, he wanted to put together psychology and society.

I think that Martín Baro help psychology to open its way, it is very important that the psychology is based on the context of the people where they work.

Cauquenes, my favorite vacation place

My favorite vacation place is Cauquenes, it's a town in VII Region of Chile. Cauquenes is a small town, but is a very beautiful place. The people that live in Cauquenes is neek, laborious and very nice.
My grandmother was born in Cauquenes in 1945 and she lived there until she was 17 years old, then she went to Cauquenes only un holidays. When I was 5 years old, I went for the first time there, and form that moment I go always to Cauquenes in holidays.
In the town there is a church, called "San Alfonso", that is so big, and there is a "Mercado", where the people sell typical food, and in the bridge there is a "Chuico", a typical symbol Cauquenino, and a hospital and a police station. Around the town, there are many fields, with many animals.
I think that other facilities that should be there are a mall, for the people could go to buy, and also the town need a museum, a cinema and a fast food center, for the people get fun!

The earthquake

The night of earthquake I slept in my house, I wasn´t a party because my friend Carolina was sick, I watched the show of Ricardo Arjona in the Festival de Viña and later I went to sleep. When the earthquake happened I woke up, I was calm, but when the earthquake continiued stronger I got up and called my brother, we were with my mother and her boyfriend and my gramy. I was calm but felt fear because the earthquake continiued. when the earthquake finished I asked at my neighbor how she was, and called my father because he was in his house in the other place.
One day later I was nervous because it kept tremblin. I felt that I loved my life, and my family.

Silvana

Hello, my name is Silvana Andrea Tapia Villanueva. My birthday is 15 of july. I'm 22 years old. I'm student of psychology in the Universidad de Chile and this is my third year. I was studied Bachillerato before psychology. I live with my mother, my brother, my grandmother and the boyfriend's mom. I love my brother very much, we are the best friends. I'm not a very friendly person, but I have friends since that I was a little girl, with them, I like to dance, eat ice cream or just join us to talk. I a kind, honest and angry person. I like eat chocolate and potatoes chips, but I like do it sports very much, i love swim, play football and volleyball. I like read a lot novels, such as "La tregua" and "El plan infinito" (my favorites books), watching movies and go to shopping, because, I love to buy clothes. In holidays, I like go to the country, because I like the peace, the quiete and the nature very much. This is a little description of myself. Bye.
